Camins 2 Dreams Syrah Zotovich Vineyard 2018

Camins 2 Dreams Syrah Zotovich Vineyard 2018

100% Syrah. Camins 2 Dreams is one of our favorite new wineries. Mireia Taribó and Tara Gomez are not only the two owners of the winery, they both share winemaking responsibilities and are married to each other. Mireia was born and raised in Catalunya, in the northeastern part of Spain. Her interest in wine started at a very young age. Growing up in Spain, wine is considered a food and was part of almost every meal. Mireia knew from a young age that she wanted to learn more about wine. Tara’s passion for wine began when she was young and her parents used to take her wine tasting throughout the Central Coast. When she was a child she enjoyed looking at life through a microscope and it was the connection of wine to nature and science that made her want to pursue an Enology degree. Their winemaking style is very natural and minimalist which goes perfectly with the Syrah grapes from the Zotovich vineyard. 2018 was only their second vintage with these grapes and they were full of flavors and aromas. The grapes are fermented with natural yeasts and no sulfur was added until bottling, with only a small amount added. This is a fresh, vibrant, and balanced wine that shows why Rhone varietals do so well in California's Central Coast. It's an exquisite wine and we are so excited to share Camins 2 Dreams with all of you.

Tasting Notes
"The 2018 Syrah Zotovich Vineyard is a gorgeous, vivid wine. Blue/purplish fruit, black pepper, lavender, mocha and licorice all flesh out. Wonderfully deep and creamy, the 2018 possesses superb fruit density and richness while remaining very light on its feet. It is a dazzling, riveting wine that also shows how well suited Syrah is to this part of the Sta. Rita Hills." - Antonio Galloni
